Getting To Know Us

CYNTHIA BAUER has been with Heritage Abstract since October of 2003. Before joining the Heritage team she worked in the billing department at the Institute of Preventive Medicine in Denville. She is responsible for the order entry and status here at Heritage. Cynthia and her husband live in an historic stone cottage built in 1732 in New Foundland. She enjoys buying designer shoes, biking and swimming.

DENNIS BIVONA is our Vice-President of Sales.  He is a 1973 graduate of Baker University with a Bachelor of Science in Education.  Married with two grown children, he is a long-time resident of the Lake Mohawk section of Sparta Township. Dennis has 26 years of insurance sales experience of the which the past 21+ years were spent in the Title Insurance field.

Dennis’ main objective is to make every client feel as thought they are his only client and he prides himself on returning telephone calls promptly. He especially enjoys working with the senior community on reverse mortgages and providing them with the answers they need and the attention they deserve.

KAREN GALLAGHER came to Heritage Abstract in March of 1983. She began by typing and answering phones and eventually was moved to the Policy Department. In the 1990’s she became an administrative assistant to Heritage’s then president. She was then appointed president upon his retirement in 2005. Karen enjoys cooking, gardening and playing golf in her spare time.

MICHAEL HARRIS
Mike graduated from the University of Delaware before attending law school at The Widener University School of Law. Following a judicial clerkship in Middlesex County for the Honorable Hermann L. Breitkopf, A.J.S.C., Mike worked as a medical malpractice defense attorney before coming over from “the dark side.” Mike joined Heritage in 2000 as our staff attorney and became the owner in January of 2004.

Mike enjoys reading and playing golf but spends most of his free time enjoying the company of his wife Joan and their four children.

LYNNE McKNIGHT has been with Heritage since June of 1978 and has been in the title industry since 1975, having spent three years with Berks Title Insurance Company prior to coming to Heritage. She is a paralegal and a title officer who works on issuing title policies for our company. Lynne and her husband of 25 years reside in Mount Olive along with their two cats. She enjoys gardening, floral design (providing her family with more wreaths and floral arrangements than they can possible use!) and cooking.

HEIDI MEYER has been a Title Officer with Heritage since March of 2001 and has been in the title industry since 1979. She spent 18 years with New Jersey (Realty) Title Insurance Company prior to coming to Heritage Abstract Company. Heidi lives in Somerset County with her husband and cat, where she sings with a community choir called Philomusica. She also enjoys yoga and water aerobics, is an avid reader and enjoys being a passenger in the small aircraft that are piloted by her husband.

KAREN PETRUZZI has been working at Heritage Abstract for 22 years and is part of our very efficient production team with her sister, Beth. In her spare time she enjoys dining out, going to movies and camping. She also spends a part of her time off as a volunteer at an animal shelter.

BRUCE PULEO joined the Heritage Abstract team in October 2005. Over the last 20 years, Mr. Puleo held various sales and sales management positions located on the East Coast. Prior to joining Heritage Abstract Company, Mr. Puleo worked in the printing industry and before that, he was the Eastern Regional Sales Manager for NGK Spark Plugs (USA), Inc. Bruce also has the experience of working in a start-up company environment.

Bruce sits as a Director for the Montville Baseball Softball Association (MBSA). Publicity Director of the Fairfield UNICO chapter. VP of the Par-Troy chapter of LeTip International. Interests include; Sports, Golf, Gardening. Married with two children.

MARILYN SCHULKIND joined Heritage Abstract in January of 2006 as a Title Officer and has been in the title industry since 1982. She previously worked as a Title Officer at two other New Jersey title agencies, as Counsel at Chicago Title Insurance Company of NY. Marilyn is a New Jersey attorney and had a private practice in Union County with an emphasis on real estate. She lives in Summit with her husband and family. She enjoys reading, cooking and listening to music.

ANTHONY SPOSARO has worked for Heritage Abstract Company since February of 2006. Previously he was a Customer Service and Billing Manager for a local retail chain. He is currently attending college seeking a degree in Business Management.

STEPHEN WALLACE has worked over thirty years in the title industry. As Steve’s father had been a title searcher in Morris County, Steve learned title searching as a child. After completing college in 1977, Steve joined Heritage Abstract Company where he began as a title searcher and then became a Title Officer. Stephen enjoys sports and takes an active roll in the local Little League along with his two sons.

BETH YORK has been working at Heritage Abstract for 24 years. Beth shares the responsibilities of our production and various other clerical duties with her sister Karen. Beth lives with her boyfriend and kitten in Morristown. Her favorite vacation spot is South Beach, Miami where her sister, brother-in-law and three nieces and nephews live.
